a mom & a man
who look like hell
enter the 4 train
with two little girls
begging for money
to feed the children

only….

The man who was with them took a dollar out of his pocket and gave it to girl #1
while she took out a breath mint
& gave it to girl #2 
who was LAUGHING while begging

They each expressed some scripted gratitude
& at that point no one really cared to budge for any loose change because a few things became obvious:

Both girls had FRESH WEAVES
moms weaves were a bit more EXPIRED
&the man who was with them  GAVE THEM MONEY
while ASKING  for more.
No one looked hungry either.

Is it me or do people have no shame in looking stupid while scamming?
I kinda feel bad for the kids.
I hope they grow up to be a tad slicker than their folks.

I feel like I’d  give them vitamins
rather than mints or loose change…
speaking of which:

I need to start taking some.
